Academics ║ Highlights from the Data-driven Life Science Session at the UTokyo-NTU Joint Conference 2021!

We are thrilled to present the remarkable outcomes from the Data-driven Life Science session held during the UTokyo-NTU Joint Conference 2021. This engaging session, hosted by the International College, brought together renowned researchers and scholars to explore the frontier of high-throughput sequencing and its impact on life sciences.

Throughout the session, insightful presentations and discussions took place, shedding light on cutting-edge research and advancements in the field. Here are some highlights from the session:

◉ Keynote Speech: Professor Yutaka Suzuki (UTokyo) delved into the fascinating world of long-read sequencing analysis of lung cancer genomes, unraveling crucial insights into this complex disease.

◉ Faculty Presentation: Professor Chih-Wei Tung (NTU) shared groundbreaking genomic approaches for uncovering the genes controlling root length in rice, paving the way for enhanced agricultural practices.

In total, we invited six distinguished professors to share their expertise, and these thought-provoking presentations fostered an environment of intellectual exchange and collaboration.
