International College recently welcomed a delegation from Guatemala as part of an ongoing initiative to strengthen global collaboration in the semiconductor sector. The visit served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange, particularly in the areas of talent cultivation, education models, and ecosystem development.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions about the Global Undergraduate Program in Semiconductors (GUPS), expressing strong interest in its curriculum design, interdisciplinary approach, and international partnerships. They hope to draw from these experiences to develop similar talent training frameworks that support the growth of Guatemala’s emerging semiconductor industry.
In addition, the delegation gained a broader understanding of Taiwan’s achievements in building a resilient and innovative semiconductor ecosystem. They explored how Taiwan’s strategies—ranging from education and research to industry collaboration—could serve as valuable references for Guatemala’s future planning.
International College remains dedicated to advancing international academic exchange and fostering collaborative opportunities across borders. We look forward to building sustained partnerships that contribute to talent development and the continued progress of the global semiconductor industry.
